Jovanny Mijares
Coach
Jovanny is a former collegiate baseball player who spent over three years competing at Murray State College and Tabor College. After stepping away from the game, he found himself missing the intensity, structure, and team atmosphere that had shaped so much of his life.
In 2024, during his second week of nursing school, he walked into CrossFit Complete West looking for a challenge—and found more than just a workout. What started as a physical outlet quickly became a source of mental clarity and emotional reset. CrossFit brought back the sense of discipline and purpose he’d been missing, and the community at Complete West made it feel like home.
Now coaching at the same gym that helped him refocus and rebuild, Jovanny brings passion, energy, and empathy to every class. With his background in athletics and his heart for helping others as a future nurse, he’s committed to walking alongside others in their fitness journeys. His goal is to support people not just physically, but as whole individuals—mind, body, and spirit.
“CrossFit Complete West is more than a gym. It’s a community that pushes each other to be better every day, and I’m proud to be part of that. As a coach and a future nurse, I believe in helping people become stronger and healthier—not just in the gym, but in life. Coaching is my way of giving back, of helping others find the same fire and healing that CrossFit has given me.”
