Let’s start by taking a look at the event timeline below :

Registration : Jan 29 – Feb 11
- Pre Draft Day Cost $25
- Post Draft Day Cost $35
Draft Day : Feb 12
Recruitment “Reaping” Period : Feb 12th – 26th

There are 4 notable updates:

We have lowered the cost!
Added Last Chance Draft
Added “The Portal”
Added New Rules to “The Reaping Period”

Lower Cost : We want to keep the Hunger Games at a reasonable price for everyone to participate and with the gym getting new sponsors this year , we have been able to pass along the benefits and lower the cost for sign ups!

Last Chance Draft : Feb 26-29 This year the Games will include a Last Chance Draft. This period will happen right after the “Reaping Period” closes (Feb 26th) and right before our 1st FNL (March 1) !

Once the Reaping Period closes… you will still be able to SIGN-UP but you will not be able to choose your district. This will play the same way as Pre Draft Day.
Those that sign up during Feb 26-29 will be drafted into a District.
We felt this would help Captains and Districts have a better opportunity to organize and communicate a few days out from our 1st FNL vs so much last minute recruiting.

The Reaping Period: The Reaping Period is the time that Captains and District Members can Recruit Eligible People into their District.

As a reminder , recruiting can only happen to members who are currently not committed to a district.

This year we are adding an additional feature to help Districts stay more evenly distributed:

Once Reaping Season begins – Each District can recruit up to 15 members before the first “Holding Period” will begin.
Once a District hits 15 Members – Recruiting for that District will STOP until all other districts have hit a minimum of 10 members.
Once all Districts hit 10 members , Reaping will go LIVE again and the new cap will be 25.
Recruiting will again stop for those that reach 25 until all other districts hit a minimum 15.
Once ALL DISTRICTS hit 15 there is no additional cap.

The Portal : Allow me to introduce “The Portal” muahhahaha.

The Portal will serve a few different purposes:

The portal will be a holding place for members to go when they sign up during The Reaping Period but have NOT COMMITTED to a DISTRICT.
- We will announce when new members enter the portal.
- This will give Districts who are still LIVE the opportunity to recruit these eligible members to their District.
The portal will also be a holding place for members during the “Reaping Period” when Districts hit their cap.
- Members can still sign up during a Districts Dead Period , they will be kept inside THE PORTAL until their District goes Live again.
- Members still have the choice to choose their District.
  - You can choose any District that is LIVE and able to accept new members.
  - IF your District of choice is in a Holding Period … you can opt to wait for the potential they go LIVE again.
    - Think of this as being put on a waitlist. The higher up the waitlist you are the more likely you will be able to be put on your district of choice.
    - If the District of your choice does not go LIVE before the Reaping Period is over , you will automatically be placed onto one of the remaining eligible Districts of your choice.
